THIS LAND WAS MADE
FOR YOU AND ME
OUR INSPIRATION
Inspired by the breathtaking expanse of our great land.
A belief in the notion that American jobs ensure thriving communities.
Dedicated to the goal of, one day, producing everything we sell in America.
As I was walking that ribbon of highway,
I saw above me that endless skyway;
I saw below me that golden valley;
This land was made for you and me.
Woody Guthrie, 1940
OUR STORY
After a trip to the beach on the Carolina coast, we noticed a sign at the very beginning of Interstate 40 in Wilmington, North Carolina.
The mileage marker told us that, if you stayed on Interstate 40 to its end-point, you’d travel 2,554 miles to Barstow, California.
This got us thinking about the vast expanse of land we, as citizens, can take advantage of in this great country of ours.
Within this 2,554 miles, families, communities, small and large businesses, are what drive and keep our country strong.
And the jobs we create – and keep – here, are a major part of how
America Works.
OUR COMMITMENT...
MADE IN AMERICA
It's about more than creating jobs.
We believe that products made in America ensure strong and thriving
communities. When parents have stable, good paying, honorable work,
children grow up in more secure homes, do better in school and build
more secure futures for their children.
Local jobs means more investment in local businesses and strengthened
local economies. And, manufacturing products in America means a
lower carbon footprint vs. imported products, and essential element
of environmental sustainability.
OUR PARTNERS - AMERICA AT WORK
Our country’s most important retailers recognize the importance of promoting American-made products. Most retailers got serious
about “buying American” after pandemic-induced supply chain disruptions. By sourcing more products domestically, U.S. retailers
improve the reliability and efficiency of its supply chain while also supporting local businesses and communities.
Twenty Five Fifty Four is committed to sourcing as many of our components as possible (fabric, yarn, accessories) from American
manufacturers. Our goal is to, one day soon, not only source our components in the U.S., but to cut and sew our garments here at
home as well. You can trust that you are paying for quality components, built by American workers. (new paragraph) We hope you’ll
agree that the jobs you are helping to keep here in America are worth every penny.
